Very large files are difficult to publish, share, send and transfer because they raise specific technical challenges:
- Mailboxes and email attachments are generally limited in size;
- FTP servers are too technical and inadequate to ad-hoc transfers by casual users;
- Burning CDs or DVDs and sending them by courier costs time and money.
